what is holistic art therapy ?
Earlier in 2025, I completed my studies as an Art Therapy Practitioner and I am now practicing from my studio in Currumbin, upstairs at Studio 8. ‘Breathing In Colour’ is a holistic based art therapy and is for you to get in touch with and express your own emotions in a safe space through art.
Self reflection and expression through spontaneous art forms.

Exploring who we are through art, allows us to explore feelings, perceptions and imagination.
No art experience is necessary and you are the teacher of self with just a little guidance from me. Creating goals, you will work towards a more positive mind set. Think of it as journaling without words but through many art forms and finding answers from within.
Art therapy is an excellent therapy supportive for those who find it challenging to express or communicate through only language as it is not confrontational, you learn to express in a safe, caring and accepting space.

history of art therapy
Art therapy was introduced as a recognised professional therapy in the 20th century but dates back as early as the late 18th century. The first art therapy graduate program was established at the University of Wisconsin in 1945 and is now universally recognised as a legitimate form of therapy focusing on healing.
